Tintagel Castle...

                                          Tintagel Castle....

One of my favourite pictures i took while at Tintagel

Typical the day we decided to head to Tintagle it was an absolute scorcher! literally the path's started going soft it was that hot, even in the car we was dripping with sweat. It had been somewhere we had wanted to visit for a while so despite melting off we went.

The history behind Tintagel has a lot of mythical history connected to it, Merlin's cave and in town a lot of places are connected with Merlin. Of course the actual history behind the castle is interesting.

Sweating we managed to walk up to the top of what felt like a million steps with a hot sweaty five year old and Charlie, the views at the top well absolutely breath taking! A place i could have sat and just watched the waves for hours!!

I'm no professional photographer but i managed to get some beautiful shots, we didn't stay too long purely because it was so hot and we had run out of drinks! ( so if you do go on a hot day be prepared!)

We didn't pay to get in as we have annual passes for the English heritage, which we love using especially as some places can be rather pricey!

I'm gutted to be honest it was so hot so we couldn't explore properly, i think ( being mean ) i wouldn't have taken Rosie it was just a but much for her being so little so we paid to get the land rover to take us back up to the top while Mark walked. A beautiful place filled with so much history is well worth a visit and down in the town there are some beautiful little shops and pubs, we stopped for ice cream and i couldn't resist buying a few key rings and fridge magnets ( something i collect )

Em x
